Pig Eye Daze


    Fun for the whole family! The Arkansas Early and the Mountain Man Rendezvous group will be there as well as Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and The Arkansas Forestry Commission. Activities include; Gold nugget race, Treasure Hunt, Sack races, Stick Horse Rodeo, Rubber Duck Race, 5k Run, Archery Competition, Blind Wheelbarrow Race, Lumberjack Competition, Hot Dog Eating Contest, Hula-Hoop Contest, Dutch Oven Cook-off, Chilli Cook-off, and Kettle Corn. A breakfast will be served at 8:00am and a fish dinner will be served that evening. Vendors are welcome! Stand Sunday


    Sunday November 5th, is Stand Sunday, an expression of Orphan Sunday in churches across America who are standing for kids in foster care.  The CALL is asking each church in VBC to emphasize the responsibility to care for these children in your worship service on Nov. 5th.

Concert Honoring Veterans


    THE VAN BUREN COUNTY COMMUNITY BAND WILL HONOR VETERANS WITH A CONCERT ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 6th BEGINNING AT 6:30 P.M. AT THE CLINTON HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM. THE CONCERT WILL FEATURE THE CLINTON HIGH SCHOOL BAND, THE CLINTON HIGH SCHOOL AND JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL CHOIRS, AND THE VAN BUREN COUNTY COMMUNITY BAND. VETERANS WILL BE RECOGNIZED AND QUILTS OF VALOR WILL BE PRESENTED AND PURPLE HEART VETERANS IN THE AUDIENCE WILL BE RECOGNIZED.


North Central Arkansas Artists League Pixel Painting Program


    THE NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS ARTIST’S LEAGUE WILL HOST A PROGRAM ABOUT PIXEL PAINTING ON NOVEMBER 6th, BEGINNING AT 10:30 A.M. CATHY WESTER, A MIXED MEDIA AND PHOTOGRAPHY ARTIST, WILL PRESENT THE PROGRAM AT THE BAYSIDE STUDIO IN FAIRFIELD BAY LOCATED ON HIGHWAY 330 AND GREENWOOD ROAD.

The CALL Informational Meeting


    The CALL will be holding it's last informational meeting of the year on November 7th, at the Botkinburg Foursquare Gospel church at 6:00 p.m. If you are interested in becoming a foster/adoptive parent or if you are interested in becoming a volunteer for The CALL, we urge you to attend this meeting. There is a great need of foster families in our county.

    WE LOVE VBC WILL HAVE A VETERAN’S TRIBUTE AND POTLUCK AT THE CLINTON SCHOOL CAFETERIA ON NOVEMBER 10th BEGINNING AT 5:00 P.M. A LANTERN LAUNCH AT THE FOOTBALL FIELD WILL FOLLOW TO HONOR OUR FALLEN HEROES. POTLUCK ADMISSION IS A MEAL IN A DISPOSABLE DISH. FOR MORE INFORMATION, CALL 253-4716.


Ozark Health Veterans Day Celebration


    OZARK HEALTH WILL CELEBRATE VETERANS DAY BY RECOGNIZING VETERANS IN A SPECIAL CEREMONY ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 10th BEGINNING AT 10:00 A.M. IN THE NURSING HOME. A SPECIAL PROGRAM WILL INCLUDE A SPEAKER AND ENTERTAINMENT AND LUNCH WILL BE SERVED.

Bee Branch Fire Dept Chili Cook-off


    The Bee Branch Fire Department will be having a Chili Cook-off on November 18th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Best Chili wins $100.00. To enter the contest, contact Jessi Collums at 501-654-4125 or Laken Burris at 501-516-0087. Chili will be served for $5.00 per bowl. We will also be having a silent auction with crafts and homemade goodies from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A live band will be playing starting at 5:00 p.m.
